  • Day 4 Lake-Geneva-Berne-Lucerne

     ALPINE ATTRACTION 

     Local Favorite: BERNE Globus Old Town, a visit to Bear Park, and a sweeping view of the city from Rose Garden are all included in the guided walking tour. Lunch break is available. Late afternoon and night time free time. 250 km / 155 mi

    VISITS TO CITIES Pyrenean brown bears reside in BärenPark (Bear Park), which carries the town's name. The bear hole of 1191, when Duke Berthold V swore to name the town after the first animal his search found in the neighboring forests, is very different from this hillside environment in Berne. Bears were originally documented as being kept in the city in 1513, when soldiers brought live bears home as war booty. Today, the cruel bear pit from the sixteenth century has transformed into a 6,000 square meter natural area next to the Aar River.


  • Day 5 Lucerne

     Linking the Past with Lucy The Old Town, Chapel Bridge, and Lion Monument are all included in the walking tour.
